We now hear that the Bush Justice Dept. is attempting to block a court order to end its warrantless wiretap program while the administration is appealing the decision. This sounds like a convict stating he needs to stay our of jail until his appeal is decided. This world is getting stranger every day. In a related development, I recently received an email with the following disclaimer. Truth is stranger than fiction.

I see your analysis is just as uninsightful as Judge Taylor's ruling. Take a gander at Judicial Travesty" and Moonbat judge gives Islamofascist terrorists civil rights; Democrats cheer!.
Returning to your previous post, you had said:
"BTW - Iran is a far greater threat to Israel than to us. I heard today that Israel has ordered two new submarines from Germany. These subs are capable of carrying nuclear missiles. This looks very much like the old MAD model of the US Soviet standoff during the cold war."
That would be one way of looking at it if the leadership in Iran (Ahmadinejad in particular) wasn't nuts. One of those on Conyers' thinks Ahmadinejad, who wants to wipe Israel off the map and to debate that the Holocaust didn't happen, can't be insane because he (Ahmadinejad) knows what would happen if he attacked the U.S. They said similar things about Hitler; "he doesn't really want to kill all the Jews". The Conyers commenter says we should talk. I agree. We should talk to Ahmadinejad, provided we're holding a gun to his head (I know, I repeated myself here).
You said in the comment on the previous thread:
"The David Duke reference came from a White House Press briefing in response to a reporter's question about a precedent for a sitting US President refusing to endorse his party's candidate for high office. Your buddy Snow originally stated that there were many instances. However, the Duke example was the only one they cited. The idiocy you pointed to came from the White House."
I was responding to what you said in the post itself (note the bold emphasis):
"Are we to assume that Alan Schlesinger ranks with the Klan, and the GOP is making a statement of American Values by refusing to endorse him?"
That was just an unnecessary non sequiter. You did note that afterwards:
"No, sadly it appears the Administration and Party that demands loyalty of its members does not return the favor when the chips are down."
So then what was the point of suggesting the tie between Schlesinger and the Klan? Or was it just ridiculous sophistry?
"WTF does Saddam have to do with anything we are talking about and what kind of Bush dope are your smoking."
I was making a point about your being in a state of denial. I've provided links before on this; if you choose not to read them, then you are in denial. (Ok, now I'm engaging in sophistry.)
"BTW - The US Government was involved with Bin Laden when they helped fund his crews fight against the Soviet Union. They were much more involved with helping fund Al Qaeda in the early days than Saddam ever was."
Saddam was kind of involved in a little war he had started against Iran. And as long as we're discussing past administrations, the US government was given the chance to get bin Laden and didn't take it.

Steve,
I do not have time to debate every unrelated points and topics you throw to see what sticks. I have more important things to do.
I will be happy to debate you on the points I and the other contributors to my blogs brings up. Do not expect me to follow wherever you lead.
This is my blog. We lead and commentors follow, unless they would prefer being contributors. I that case, they get to set the agenda.
You have been a pain in my ass. And you have doubly been a pain in my ass with OhioDem1 on vacation.
I have an idea.
Since you have been mostly respectful, if incredibly stubborn. Would you like to be a contributor to QuestionItNow?
I'm sure we could do far better than Hannity and Colms? Whichever one of those dude who is the token liberal does a piss poor job.
I was always a fan of the old "Point/Counter Point" segment on 60 Minutes when I was growing up. Do you remember those debates? What do you say?
Send an email to comments@questionitnow.com if you are interested.
