Jack Murtha Honors Our Troops
As I watched C-Span this evening I witnessed several moments of inspiration from Jack Murtha. This gentleman can not be legitimately challenged by any honest member of the US House or our military. He knows what it is like to be wounded in battle and he visits our troops in the hospital more than any other House Member.
Representative Murtha is not calling for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq; he is calling for intelligent leadership from the Bush Administration. He is pleading for our government to honor and respect our wounded veterans and their families. How many people on the right even acknowledge the 15,700+ wounded and 2,085 War dead? This man speaks to the wounded, their families, and the families of those who died. He visits them and helps them with their problems, but most importantly he listens to these patriotic Americans and gives them a voice.
It is likely that if a man with Jack Murtha’s mind and soul was our president, we would have never entered this war in Iraq. As far as the war on terror is concerned, we would have finished the job in Afghanistan and maybe even caught bin Laden. Why doesn't America realize we need a man of superior intelligence and compassion as our President?

I saw that too. Does anyone know if Bush and Cheney ever visited our wounded military people in the hospital? If so, how many times?
truely, it is because he is meeting with the wounded that he cannot take his voice away from the "truth" that isn't being spoken, by those who have the power to stop this ... and as it has been said .... an immediate withdrawl doesn't happen over night ... and Rep. Murtha knows that and said that ....
it is really strong what he is doing and his words will go down historically as the most important in this entire mess.

I can tell you never were in the service. You don't know the situation so don't rip our President apart.
If you were old enough to experience Vietnam and come home to Liberals that spit on our uniforms and burned our flag you would better understand where Americans that want our soil free from idiots like bin Laden stand.
Anonymus,
I don't understand your argument. What does bin Laden have to do with the topic of this post? Who is "ripping our President apart"? Do you believe that Americans are not free to criticize and disagree with their elected officials?
Things have changed since the Vietnam era. Back then, there were reports of soldiers being spit on. Today, American Military Personel are Treated Far Better By Anti-War Protestors Than They Are By Their Elected Officials!
It is Every American's Duty to Elect Professional, Intelligent, and relatively Honest politicians to Public Service. "We the People" deserve nothning less.
By the way, have you ever read the Declaration of Independence?
