"Iraqi National Pride"

When Tony Snow speaks about a "sense of national identity" in the average Iraqi. I wonder what the hell is he talking about?

This so-called "Iraqi national identity" did not grow organically in Iraq. No, it was first imposed from the outside by British colonial rule and more recently imposed by Sadam, before we blew up his country.

No, Iraq is not the balkans. It is a traditionally tribal society. I suggest we let them figure out which tribe gets which territory and get the hell out of Dodge. We can not fight against history and bloodlines and expect to win.
