If these where talking about permanent jobs (saying what people do for a living) you will have to use “ser” but never “ser de + profession”.
Use Ser to Describe a Person’s Occupation To ask someone what they do for a living, you can ask, “¿De qué trabajas?,” and you’ll receive the reply, “Soy + [their job].” Soy profesora. (I’m a teacher.)
It’s the same with all professions and trades; you use ser with them. Also, although it doesn’t suit as well the model ser – permanent, estar – temporary, you use ser for positions, too.
Use “estar” with: health. physical states and conditions. emotional states.
Ser is used in a simple way, to talk about WHAT something is (permanent state). To describe characteristics that are an essential part of the thing we’re talking about. Estar is used to talk about HOW something is, so we use it for conditions, locations, emotions, and actions (temporary states).
Estar is always used to talk about a person or object’s location. This can be either a temporary or permanent location.
